Sandblasting

From Hack Manhattan Wiki

Sandblasting is another way of etching a pattern into a surface. You can sandblast glass, plastic, metal, wood, stone, and probably other solid materials as well.

We haven't tried this yet, primarily because it is hard to find sandblasting grit locally in less than dump-truck load quantities.

We have an air compressor to move the grit and we have made a DIY sandblasting gun to hold and direct the grit. We just need to get some of the appropriate grit and create a backstop to collect the over-spray.
