Quickdraw
From Hack Manhattan Wiki
Overview
Quickdraw is an interactive arcade game where players can see how fast they can hit targets with Nerf guns. The original version was made in 72 hours for Makerfaire 2018 using a raspberry pi, a monitor, and around $50 worth of scrap components. The exhibit was made to demonstrate how versatile and affordable the raspberry pi platform can be for creating interactive components. The current version improved on the original design with additional targets that have dedicated LED indicators and upgraded hardware components.
Beta Version
Created in 72 hours, the prototype consisted of the following components:
- Raspberry Pi with an MCP3008 analog digital converter
- Two nerf gun platforms with switch sensors
- Two cardboard sensors connected to piezos.
- A monitor to display the game instructions
Jay assembled the components while Kario programmed the game and created the game assets.
