Good Local Food

Often at the space you need to eat food, and sometimes you don't want to get taco bell for the fourth time this week; here's a few good spots we like from roughly a 5-minute walk that will not completely drain your wallet.

Pizza

There is one good pizza place within a 5-minute walking distance of Hack Manhattan. It is found on the north edge of 40th in between Broadway & 7th, around the corner from Joe's. It is a real dollar slice, takes cash only, and looks like an actual hole in the wall. No other dollar or even 4-dollar slice in the area compares. Opens 9:30am, closes 4:30-5am.

Toast Café Brasserie

Somewhat fancy bodega with unreasonably priced snacks and reasonably priced deli & salad bar.

Vegan / gluten - free burgers at a regular lunch price, vegan chili bowls, etc.

Some places will waste still-good food! What an atrocity!

Mostly pizza, but usually fresh!

Dumps trash out around 8:30-9:30pm

Dunkin down the street

Sometimes, towards 9:30, when they're throwing out trash, if you walk in they'll just give you a tray of donuts and they're too high to care
