Additional Storage Rental

Per Meeting 2025-04-30:

Additional storage is available to rent for members, solely in the current member bin format, at the rate of $150 per year per bin, minimum purchase quantity of one year. To avoid administrative overhead, bin rentals are not refundable, but may be gifted or sublet. There is no discount on normal membership for not having a bin, nor does any "starving hacker" discount or other membership discount apply to additional bins.

Bin rental period begins when you get a bin, and renewals are effective from the end of the previous period, not date of renewal payment. You must pay manually each renewal, which provides the opportunity to consider whether you want to continue having an extra bin. Bins with overdue payment are no longer member storage, become subject to the best-by date policy, and may find their contents in the lost & found. (When emptying expired bins it is good manners to notify their owners.)

Getting a bin

Allocate yourself a bin from the existing inventory of unused ones, and label it with your name and the rental period. If there are no bins remaining please contact the board about ordering more. Pay for your bin with Stripe.
