Issues
* Shaft Bent: Misaigned lovejoy connectors results in primary shaft no longer fitting into the gear reduction smoothly. Temp fix was to sand the inside of the output shaft bearing.
* Alignment:gearbox and shredder are not perfectly aligned
* Sieve: Using the included sieve resulted in the majority of the scraps stuck at the bottom. May be better to shred without the sieve and filter for another pass after.
* Physical effort: Both can be solved with a motor or stepper with speed and direction control.
** Wheel is great for speed but terrible with minimal blockage
** Ratchet is great for blockage but very slow

Hack Manhattan is a nonprofit organization supported by membership dues and donations from the community. We exist to build community, spread knowledge, and create wonderful things. To contribute financially, either become a member or make a one time donation. Most of our budget goes to paying rent and keeping our lights on, and is covered by membership dues. Your donation provides us with an additional financial cushion and allows us to buy tools and supplies, and pay for the cost of being at events such as Maker Faire.
Notes about subnets, routes and DHCP
Since bo.x0.rs provides its own 10.133.7.0, 10.8.0.0, 10.0.59.0, and 10.0.93.0 subnets, it essentially acts as a second router. Hence, we send out classless static routes via DHCP to make sure none of the clients run into problems and the containers can identify which device is talking to them. This also means static routes are set on the router, plus the necessary DHCP-options may be found in LuCI: Network -> Interfaces -> lan -> DHCP -> Advanced -> DHCP Options.

Since the spec says to ignore the default route packet if classless static route options are seen, we include the default route in the static routes we send out.
Incidents
* 2016-05-31: The space VoIP phone was reported to have no networking. A troubleshooting monkey was dispatched, and it was found that if one plugs said phone in the inappropriate holes, it will not work. RESOLVED.
* 2016-05-23: Since our wrtnodes that run our streams operate within that band, our space stream was no longer accessible (but the front door still was?). This has been rectified by having it connect as a client to a different access point. Resolved.
* 2016-05-23: Whilst performing hotfixes to rectify the 2016-05-23 network problem, one of our volunteer monkeys disabled the wireless interfaces on our space access point, and they are currently still down. Whack the main space stream once this is fixed. UNRESOLVED.
* 2016-05-23: A building community member reported failure to obtain a DHCP lease on all over our access points' 2.4 GHz networks, which is extremely odd since they're all on the same VLAN and on the same hardware as their 5GHz radio interfaces. Regardless, volunteers attempted to look at the problem, which was magically gone by 2016-05-27. Unable to reproduce. Resolved.
Mugenityhttps://wiki.hackmanhattan.com/index.php?title=Ender_3&diff=8860Ender 32023-10-15T21:59:00Z
Mugenity:

Resolved.
Mugenityhttps://wiki.hackmanhattan.com/index.php?title=Network_Operations&diff=8858Network Operations2023-10-15T21:36:36Z
Mugenity: /* Network Infrastructure */

Resolved.
Mugenityhttps://wiki.hackmanhattan.com/index.php?title=Network_Operations&diff=8857Network Operations2023-10-15T16:40:36Z
Mugenity: /* Network Patch */

Resolved.
Mugenityhttps://wiki.hackmanhattan.com/index.php?title=Ender_5_Plus&diff=8832Ender 5 Plus2023-10-06T21:16:54Z
Mugenity:

* We don't have it on record what the "Starving Hacker" dues are supposed to be post-raising of dues when we moved. Proposals have been leaving them at $50, raising them to $55 or $60, or eliminating them entirely. We should set them to be $55 because that is the mean, median, and mode of the informal poll Robin did in Discord. It also keeps them at half of the standard tier, as previously. Like the increase for the standard tier, the increase in the "Starving Hacker" due is voluntary for existing members. We will add that to the wiki page with instructions for upgrading your tier.
