Consensus Agenda

Interim Rule for Reopening after COVID-19

1. The board or the members may at any time decide to change to a different phase of the reopening process (both forward and backward), provided we will be at phase 0 whenever the “New York State on PAUSE” order applies to Manhattan.

2. Appropriate PPE must be worn at all times in the space. When more than one person is present in the space, physical distancing must be observed.

3. During phases 0 through 2, the PPE project has primary use of the space, and any decision about transitions from these phases must be made in consultation with the PPE project.

4. During phases 1 through 3, visits must only be for important (but not necessarily urgent) activities.

5. Whenever more than one person is present in the space, visits must be logged. Members may keep their own log, but must make it available when needed for contact tracing. Each member's log must record the times they were at the space and which other members or guests were present.

6. The rules for the phases are:

Phase 0: The current interim rule adopted in April.

Phase 1: One member at a time is allowed, in coordination with the PPE project, for cleaning only.

Phase 2: One member at a time is allowed, for up to 1 hour at a time, unless no other members wish to use the space. Visits must be scheduled on the calendar and announced in advance.

Phase 3: Three persons are allowed at a time, including up to one guest. Visits must be scheduled on the calendar and announced in advance.

Phase 4: Four persons are allowed at a time, including up to two guests.

7. Within each phase, the number of people allowed at a time can be increased.

For each prospective member, please confirm no later than Thursday before the meeting:

  • Has the member visited 3 times at the regular Tuesday and Thursday open nights?
  • Has the member received the briefing? When, and who was the briefer?
  • Has the member's bio and photo been circulated on the members list? (not just blabber)
